After establishing OperaGold in 2004, as a means of giving her students performing experience, Nan Christie has directed ten fully-staged opera productions both at Goldsmiths, and in Greenwich Theatre, all with orchestra and in their original languages.

The performances at Goldsmiths take place annually. Previous productions include Blow's Venus and Adonis; Purcell's Dido and Aeneas; Mozart's Die Zauberflöte; Bizet's Carmen; Britten's Peter Grimes; Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro; Verdi's Rigoletto; Puccini's La Bohème; Verdi's La Traviata; Britten's Midsummer Night's Dream.
